Quality Assurance International (QAI)
Organic Certification Program

QAI's program is designed to certify every step of the organic chain - from the land on which the product is grown, to the producers growing the product, to the post harvest facilities preparing the product, to the processing and handling facilities transforming the product. Such diligence provides assurance that the actual product destined to enter into market distribution is indeed organic.

QAI has the capability to certify that organically grown, processed and/or handled food and fiber complies with QAI, state, provincial, national or international organic standards. The specific qualifications for certification, as expressed by the needs of the applicant, are determined by regulatory guidelines or standards.

As a processor, RMM is required to preserve the chain of custody conveyed to RMM from growers by demonstrating that the ingredients used for processing have been certified organic; that processing of the organic product is being accomplished with adequate separation from the processing of conventional commodities; that a clear audit trail is continuously maintained; and that appropriate pest management and sanitation strategies are utilized.
